Erhm, you don't have even 50% of required amount of players. AB is 15-15 battle, here you've got 8-5. What further explanations you need?

I meant to ask, why did the game decide that the Alliance won the battleground when the Horde were clearly ahead in points? Are we supposed to be punished for people on our team griefing by afking or leaving the game?

Wasn't a big deal or anything, we won plenty of BGs last night. I just thought it was funny and really strange. Could have made it more clear that I was wondering about the win/loss I suppose. Even though I circled it in the screenshot... And included a screenshot of the score...
