WotLK Is it Safe to use a Mouse Cursor Mod?

Hey there,

I have this problem where I lose track of my mouse cursor in certain situations. When that happens I usually have to wiggle my mouse around violently to relocate it. I searched on Legacy-wow for anything mouse/cursor related but found nothing. But I did find a forum post in the following link that has an unofficial texture replacer. I just don't know if it's safe to use.

Am I allowed to use this type of mod? I just don't want to get in trouble for hacking/cheating or something of that nature. Any helps is appreciated.

Here is a cursor addon (makes it more visible + graphical trail) that I use that is both effective and safe. You install it just like any other addon.
