1. Saurfang 25 man

    40 million health pool. I dont know how many of you have downed him on 25 man mode yet , but obviously doubling the health pool of raid bosses wasnt a good idea . This boss' HP has direct effect on the number of Marks and he casts , the amount of damage he does and the chance to bring him down .

I also would like to know other experienced raiders' opinion on my tactic for this boss which is that I use a few more healers , and I leave one healer for tanks and one for damage from the adds and then specify each remaining healer to one mark so that multiple healers dont heal one mark and have 2 or 3 retribution Paladins casting their Divine intervention on the last 2 or 3 marks .

  3. How about doing the fight correct and that way keep his energy at minimum?
    Even if you manage decent and keep his energy down for a long time, maybe not let him have high energy once he does gain some, but actually let 1 mark go off so his energy can be reduced to 0 again and his abilities woun't kill people, just a though, after all WoW is famous for it's boss fights and people have to manage the abilities or it's a wipe, Saurfang should never been a tank n spank fight, but it has been considered this for way to long, now you get punished for still not adapting to it.

    ps: DI has been fixed, you cannot exploit that way anymore.

  4. So may I ask that in order to achieve that does you melee engage with the adds too or its completely up to the range ? and can you tell me with how many marks do you finish that fight ?

    you do realize there are other servers from warmane to play if you dont wanna fight him with doubled health right? The whole point of the server is that it is suppose to be more difficult.

    Talking about difficulty , have you downed him yourself yet ? (in frostmourne 25man)

    Btw last year's frostmourne wasnt like this raid bosses had normal hp , this is the first time I hear something this (warmane difficult , noobs leave)

    Anyone can attack the adds as long as they don't get hit by them.

    Watch this video if you want to understand how normal players who don't care make this boss impossible. It all comes down to manage his blood power.

  8. You are not supposed to get hit by the adds, maybe that's the problem with marks you are having. Also probably gear or in general dps since you run more healers

If you need more healers cause too many marks comes out then it's not a healing issue, it's like saying "lets go 10 healers on Lich king so they can outheal the defile thats all over the platform". Everyone needs to know what to do, Spread out for blood nova, Dont get hit by adds, Don't let the tanks get hit when they have mark, Get rid of boiling blood, like Iceblock / HoP / Bubble etc, it's a physical debuff so cloak of shadows for example should not work, Every single ability Saurfang has that does damage gives him blood power, so you have to avoid everything, Adds is just 1 part of it. Even when 1 mark is up he will get more blood power because it does damage thus giving him more blood power. if you have 3 marks and boss is still on 50% then you might aswell wipe it right away because your raid failed miserably.

    Biggest issue people have is when doing this on Heroic and they don't realise the difference the adds does for example.
    Blood Beasts move a lot faster.
    Blood Beasts gain Scent Of Blood, meaning they deal 300% more damage (practically a one-shot) and reduce nearby player movement speed by 80%. This means they need to be reliably snared: they simply cannot be allowed to get near people.

    Seen people many times try to kite the adds when they get close, with 80% movement speed debuff, Just to get 1 shot and blame it on the debuff "I can't moooove" Yeah... no **** you can't move, At this point any melee dps or tank (hell even hunters distracting shot) can taunt the adds to save the whole raid, because not only does a RDPS die when the adds reach them, but it gives Saurfang a huge ammount of blood power so he will cast more marks.

    Another big issue is when RDPS in particular Kill 1 add and then thinks "I did my part on adds now I can dps boss" while 1-2 adds are still alive on their way to kill another rdps in your raid.

    Deathbringer Saurfang encounter is only hard because people tend to not give a rats *** about tactics. next time try to do Festergut 25 (one of the easiest bosses) without anyone stacking for spores and se how well they do when the bloat (explosion) comes. Follow tactics or fail, it's how WoW was basicly structured from the start.

  10. iam kinda confused , did they make his hp x2 the amount of HP he had back on the OG wotlk? or is that normal for him to have 40m / this is only for lorderon?
