In other words, you pressed need on an item that wasn't mean for you (for example, needing stamina+spirit cloak as a tank, mana per 5 seconds on a mage, needing agility as a warrior or something more straightforward like needing intellect neck or ring as a rogue)

Just because nobody needed the item doesn't mean you should need it. As for your report of raid ninja looting, you probably didn't post proper proof - you can find it under rules section on the forum. Whether you think it's "serious" or not doesn't matter. You can choose to follow the rules or not. Just deal with the consequences.
