WotLK Are BGs always like this?

Half of the people on my side (Horde) are AFK, especially if they think the enemy is "too strong." People give up for no reason and just sit at the GY.

Is this normal?

Usually yes. It makes no sense to put up a fight if you know that you are going to lose. Not participating makes your team lose faster, which means that you can get on the next BG as soon as possible.

I think the problem is that alot of people are not playing the BGs for fun but for daily win/honor/gear so as soon as it is not a free win they stop playing. On the other side you have those people who are full geared for decades and just do BGs for farming honorable kills so they also don't care about objectives.
This makes it really hard to find a nice BG.

Usually when I'm playing I'm the only healer on Horde and they don't seem to give up quite as fast unless I get bored and switch specs but then I get farmed cause I was the only healer. Make more healers <3

Yes. It's always like that. 90% of the time, there's a premade roaming around just farming hks. BGs are almost unplayable atm, the few times you actually get a fair, even fight is rare these days.

U have to take it ez, or will be frustrating. Yes the bg in this server ar usully like u said. In general u going to face a premade, or bis geared char, or both, 8 time to 10. they have no interest in play the bg, they just want to farm hks, and they have the right to do so. That appen for both side, but more if u are horde. That doesn't means that u will never have fun, or u will never win. It happens to win against a full premade, and is very satisfying. The people who stay afk, know that the fastest option for try to do a better bg is end fast the one they are in, and the only way to do so is force the other team to do the same. They have probably more experience than u on doing pvp in this server. In my opinion u have only 2 option for pvp on Warmane: 1- don't take it serious, just play sometime as a side content, and just left when u dont have fun, so u can do other stuf. 2- take it serious, find a pvp guild and one arena partner, improve your skill and do premade, so u can fight back. I choose the number one. For example, when i join an AV, or a IOC, or a bg in general, i can tell immediatly if there are a premade on the other side, because i played enough to recognise the name of some people who does everyday premade for hks farming, if i am in the mood for a bg like that, i stay and do my best, if i'm not i just instant left and go to do other stuff. Or when i join sota i left immediatly because i rly dont like that bg (and i ask myself if somone like that). If u dont like neither of this 2, i think that Warmane isnt the best server for u.

I feel like the hours and hours I put into my Orc Shaman has been a total waste. The PvP imbalance is a complete joke. We literally lose 90% of BGs and I have grinded countless hours to not even have better gear than is given for *free* for Blackrock characters.

The whole thing is just messed up.

I'm not suggesting changes, just ranting my heart out. Kind of makes you understand that at the end of the day, good as it was, WotLK is outdated and imperfect.
