WotLK Characters Gone, Nowhere to be found.

I have recently logged in after a few years to find all of my characters are gone, the numbers still show up on the server list, 8 on Lorderon and 3 on Icecrown, yet are absent on the login screen.

what level were your characters?
Is your account premium?

Every year there is a clean-up which delete inactive low level characters (below lvl 30 usually) and it flags for a rename inactive characters (even lvl 80)

In case of "premium" account characters are never deleted instead.
