I'm having a problem in which game settings and addons do not retain any persistence. that is, once i log out, i lose my settings, then i must reestablish them with my next log in. i have to drag Healbot and Decursive and Skada all back into their placements. I have to change game volume and turn music down again. most frustrating by far, is having to reassign the spells to their proper bindings for Healbot. another confusing thing is that my game client key bindings and autoloot settings do remain persistent while other settings, and all addons do not. does anybody have a fix for this issue they could suggest?

Follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"

i had done steps 1 and 2 already. just completed 3 but it's not currently a time to log in. i may even reboot first. if i don't report back within 12 hours, it's safe to assume that this has resolved my issue and the thread can be closed if that's protocol here (my first forum post. woot!).
