WotLK (H) - Frostmourne - 20 Abyss Crystals I bought for 4400g disappeared

Hey Game Master,


I have an issue regarding Mailbox and the COD system.

Around 2 AM - 09 May 2022, I went to check my mailbox and saw that I received COD Mail with 20 Abyss Crystals for 4400g. (I buy materials through COD, craft, and sell)

Since this was a good deal, I went and paid the 4400g.

However, 20 Abyss crystals were not added to my bag. The crystals just disappeared. I am pretty sure that I didn't return them too because 4400g also disappeared.

The reason I am sure it has disappeared:

1. To receive a COD Mail, you have to click on the item in the mail to pay the amount. In my case, it was only 1 item (20 Abyss crystals = 1 Stack). After you pay the gold, the item on COD Mail automatically transfers to your bag, hence, you can either only pay and receive the item or return the cod mail if there is ONLY 1 ITEM in the mail.

2. If your bag is full when paying for COD Mail, the Game prompts you to clear a bag slot! You cannot pay for the item in COD Mail if your bag is full because the game client is trying to automatically receive the item in COD Mail.

I have also written an in-game ticket but I just wanted to make sure I tie all the loose ends in this case by writing here too.

For a new realm of Frostmourne, both 4400g and 20 Abyss Crystals are not cheap at all. I have skimmed through the Warmane Forum to check if a similar case has happened before and fair enough, the most similar case was A Guy buying 5 items with coins but 4 of them disappeared when clicked to take them from his/her mailbox too!

I believe this is an issue worthy of posting here. (If there is a better place to post this issue, please let me know)

I hope the GMs can take note of this issue and resolve it soon since I believe it is not an accepted norm for the Warmane Players to just randomly lose their gold/item and the Warmane has a quality and reputation to uphold.

I bought a new Ring to test if this bug is persistent but guess what, the ring cannot be sold back and I am effing stuck with a new ring (6800g) and my old one I bought for 6800g is gone.

Total loss = 20xAbyss Crystals I bought for 4400g + Dalaran Ring I bought for 6800g = 11200g

Considering that, despite you trying to make it sound like the server itself has some issue, there has been no big influx of players reporting the same, which would be the bare minimum expected if you were correct, I find it more likely that you got scammed or the like. While Frostmourne has some unique features, its core is still the same used in our other WotLK servers, so the same would have to be happening on Lordaeron and Icecrown for years for this to be something with the server in the way your post attempts to claim.

About your ring, it's true if an item causes an exception the game removes it and it later gets resent via mail, which happens sporadically, but that's about it. It also falls in the situation that there have been no other reports or complains of what you're describing, so hard to figure out what, if anything, happened.
