    Ret Aura Bug?

    Hi Guys,

It's a small thing but i noticed that my Ret Aura appears bugged.

I'm a level 46 human paladin on Frostmourne taking my time and enjoying the leveling experience.

Along my travels I noticed that the Aura bar tooltip and the spell book for my Ret Aura both say 55-57 damage to all attackers.

But the buff icon tooltip for my Ret Aura says 37 damage to all attackers.

This difference has been consistent throughout my leveling experience and all my guildies have no idea what it might be.

We have been through my add ons and my items and also deleted my cache but all to no avail.

I have a word document with screenshots I can email you if you give the appropriate email address to use.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just a display issue OR am I being robbed of damage?

    Regards,
    Ontology

    1. In order to share "screenshots" or any other kind of pic, you can just upload them on website like imgur.com -> then you get a sharable link

    2. Base damage is 37 http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=10300
but thanks to your talent http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=31869 -> it becomes around 56

on Wotlk client spell's description usually get updated when improved by talents but "aura" description do not get updated.
That is why you still read "37" on Buff tooltip

Btw you can also test by your own by engaging combat with a mob:
remove all of your gear -> fight a mob without doing any atttacks -> look at how much damage your Aura is doing

Lots of buff icons display basic version, but improvements trough talents work. You will see the same with Might and Wisdom. What you need to do is see how much damage it does actually on monsters, if it's wrong, report it on bugtracker.

Thanks guys this is super helpful and puts my mind at ease. I'll try the naked combat and test it all myself so I know.
