Minmaxing with proffesions

I have a question about proffesions, if i made big jc gems (34 strenght) equip them, and after that drop jc and get enchanting for the ring encha, my socket bonuses will disappear?

Either they get removed/disappear, or you won't get the stats from the gems. Benefiting from profession perks of a profession you don't have would be exploiting.

If you drop jc you will lose 34 str gems bonus(as if you dont have any gems at all)
