WotLK How to find my target?

In cataclysm my target appeared on the minimap as a dot, and this didnt require tracking. Now in WotLK I find it so difficult to find my target. Maybe using a raid marker would help but I can't use it on players.
My question is - how to find my target (enemy players specifically)? Is there an addon that would allow me to set a private raid marker on an enemy player? Or show me my target on the minimap?
