how do i login when i try my warmane username and password an error pops up saying i need to convert my account to a blizzard account

Make sure you have realmlist set right. Also use your Warmane account name, not email, to login.

If that doesn't work, consider changing password.
If you have very extravagant and secure password (like the ones Google recommends) you might need to change that to somewhat simpler one (client limitation).
