It's extremely hard to actually run out of RAM because Windows is happy to grow the pagefile non-stop until you start pulling your hair out because of the hard disk thrashing.
Meh, I strongly dislike pagefile, especially when it's located on a mechanical disk(SSD i can live with). My question was actually meant in the most literal sense possible. A small amount of people still run pre-2010 machines with less than 3GB of ram and they have the "courage" to run win10 on that fossil and then ask why it's running slow. As much as I dislike win10 for some of its "features", I don't go and just slap it on any old machine with the delusion it will run fine. Pre-2010: if it's <4cores and no SSD - windows 7/8.1. If it's a quad core(maybe even some amd tripple cores) and has some SSD for windows at least - sure, I'll install 10 on it.
Nevermind that, even if wotlk was meant to run even on <1GB ram potatoes, Dalaran and similar zones are what makes the game "require" more resources than one would normally assume. So seeing an error that outright says "not enough memory" makes me think how much there is in the first place.
Hmm... Given the screen resolution, I'd say a potato PC is unlikely, but one never knows o:-)
