Sigil of Strife is garbage, right?
Its the sigil we can buy with honor and it gives 144 AP for 10 seconds after using Plague Strike. The EoT sigil gives 200 STR (400 AP) for 20 seconds after using Death Strike or Obliterate which seems so much better.
Am I missing something or is the honor sigil really just that terrible?

200 STR one is "chance", but the PVP one is guaranteed. I think that's the idea. Not sure if anyone uses that 144 AP one tough.

I read some comments about this sigil on Wowhead and even in 2008/2009 they considered this sigil to be pure garbage compared to other sigil options.

It is very bad yet, atleast your lucky enough to not be a retri paladin, the EoT libram forces you to use seal of corruption, most just ends up getting the Holy paladin libram even on rets.
