But it says "You are eligible to send gifts of up to ? coins, you have ? coins.", or is that merely about 72hrs period?

It's meant to be vague so people can't try to abuse it further. All it requires is some common sense, really. It scales with amount donated as stated, so if you only ever donated 10 bucks and want to """"""gift"""""" 1500 Coins to a dozen """"""friends"""""", think again. You're even offered the possibility to open a ticket and request higher gifts to be reviewed and processed manually, assuming it's confirmed to be legitimate. Only people wanting to do blatantly outrageous """"""gifting"""""" should have anything to worry.
So the limit applies both to time intervals and coin amounts. Is account age, activity (account status/ban history) a factor as well?
Secondly, contacting support and requesting a gift or two to go through. If you find it dubious, will it just be denied, or will it spark an investigation, with potential result being a ban?
Figured I'd write here since your attention was already on this post, but ofc I also made a support ticket at the same time.
the "you are eligible to send x coins" has no relation to this limitation. it only tells you how many of your coins are unlocked (aka, you got them longer than 3 days ago). it tells me I can send 250 out of my 270coins, however I cannot send a gift of 29coins
So when we have account with only status premium with donated only 5 coin so we cant send any coins? if my character sold on market?
Here is your answer
Well i didnt know this untill i allready sold my character and now i cannot send gift... Now i dont have character, in which i invested alot of my time, and what now? Dont wanna use coins in new toon and they denied me to send gift via ticket services... I hope that people will see this post so they dont make mistake like me and many others, and would be nice for staff to put some more explanation on site about this!
Is this true? I normaly send gift to my friend.
Yes, it's true. But it isn't that people can't send gifts, just that there is a limit on how many Coins can be gifted, based on how much your account has donated. You sent normally to your friend because you haven't reached that limit yet. This was created due to the amount of Coin sellers who abused the gifting system, all while claiming they "just wanted to gift a friend."
By introducing a new rule, you should specify the value of this new ratio. How much coins am I able to send to other accounts with premium or contributor donation level? Is every 1 euro donation / 100 coins send limit? 1/50? 1/25? 1/10? 1/5? 1/2.5?
All the people want to know about - are just exact numbers.
Everyone understands Warmane goals:
--- Get a piece of the pie from the "illegal" coin market from the pockets of sellers and buyers of "illegal" gifts. (On top of Warmain's 5% commission on gifts).
--- Attract some of the "gray" buyers to the official donation. By the way, bear in mind that there are still regions for which official donation methods are impossible / unattractive.
Ordinary people will donate as before - modestly. Maybe a little bit more.
But coin sellers could bring a solid donation stream to Warmane. Well, unless you choke them to death.
So:
- Give traders a good ratio and you'll get a good share.
- or Destroy the "illegal" coin market with silence or bad ratio and you will lose way more than you could gain.
After all, you could lead the illegal market - just buy your coins back at a fair 25%...40% discount and you will be pleasantly surprised at how much less problems you need to solve.
No, there isn't really any big need for exact values to be disclosed, as Gifting isn't an integral part of the gameplay, nor something that came as part of the original Premium deal. The only people who could try to claim otherwise are those whose focus is to (ab)use it, who would want to minmax their "potential." Casual people who legitimately use that tool as intended will hardly ever even find out there was such limitation, and they can still simply contact Support to ask for an extension.
Your attempt to try "framing" this as us wanting a "piece of the pie" is also pretty laughable. There should be no "pie" to begin with, there are no quotes around illegal there. We create those gratitude token for donations and it's strictly against our rules for them to be in RMTs. Our goal therefore is simple and clear: remove any Coins and accounts involved in that, no matter which side of the equation they are, so the tool recovers its original purpose.
But thanks for coming out in defense of the practice so openly, making suggestions that involve turning a blind eye to it or even assisting it. It helps with accounts and associated ones to keep an eye on.
Your server, your rules, your actions, your results of actions.
I hope I just don't understand your goals, but you know what you're doing. Like gold squish feature, it seemed like a terrible move to many at the beginning, but as time went on it turned out to be a greater good. For majority.
I have only best wishes to your team. Really.
Just like it's players not respecting our rules and their consequences when caught.
Even if eventually, even if months later, like many are finding out.
That's not true i do not send gifts for mby more than 2 years and wish to send my other account 3 coins and have same issue : You have exceeded the threshold of sending gifts.
