WotLK Forced to change the name (Icecrown)

Hi,
This problem is on Icecrown realm.
When I started to play here, I made an alliance rogue with the name of Epinephrin. I made lvl 80, donated for 2 BiS trinkets and unfortunatelly I needed to take a break from the game as I had some life issues. When I came back to play, I was forced to change my name of my character; can I ask why? If I reserved that name and I played that time with it, why I needed to change my name?
