1. Race, Class & Profession Realm First Titles for Frostmourne S4

Please consider adding the special realm first titles for races, classes and professions for Frostmourne S4 as special prestige rewards.

These achievements were originally present in the original WotLK release back in 2008 but have been removed later on.

If possible should also be retroactively awarded to past players with the respective achievements.

    Thanks for the consideration.

  2. That would make little sense, when the other seasons didn't have that, and would have to be removed on transfer to Icecrown anyway, since no one immigrating there would be first of anything.

  3. I'm not sure if you read my suggestion correctly.

    1. In terms of implementation this would be done by linking the title to the respective realm first achievement, therefore everyone who has the realm first achivement would get the title, which means characters from previous frostmourne seasons would also have it since they have the achievement itself.

I have also stated in the original post: "If possible should also be retroactively awarded to past players with the respective achievements."

    2. Concerning your comment about the migration to Icecrown and players not being first of anything. Players keep realms first achievement titles from raids obtained on Frostmourne such as Conqueror of Naxxramas, Celestial Defender, Grand Crusader etc. after the transfer. This is stated in the realm description FAQ by Mercy, quoting:

"Q: If I earn realm first achievements on Frostmourne, will I lose them when my character moves to Icecrown?
A: No, you will get to keep them, since you earned them."

That's for achievements/titles that currently exist, not for deprecated stuff that was never part of our servers, which have been around for over a decade and gone through merges.

You also conveniently missed my point. It's not about retroactively giving it, but how are you going to retroactively inform people that "hey, this might have been a reason for you to have put in more effort since it wouldn't just be an achievement!"? Naturally this is moot if you have a time machine, and I apologize if that's the case, but otherwise you're telling any and all guilds who could have been more interested in winning the competition "tough luck, try again next season lol."

  5. I understand, thanks for your perspective and time. That seems like quite definitive "no" as an answer so I guess the thread can be closed.

Thanks again and have a nice day!

  6. It isn't a "definitive no," since it does outright goes into auto-deny territory or is something that conflicts with how we work, so not a call for me to make. It is custom content - it didn't exist in the version we host, period - but could fall into a grey area and be considered at some point. I can point out drawbacks and offer unfavorable points of view, though.

  7. I can understand the argument of not applying the titles retroactively, even if I'm on the fence about it...I get adding the reward like that could leave people to feel they missed out/would have pushed harder or whatnot. I don't see it as a problem going forward for future seasons...but most of the Realm Firsts (Race/class) are already highly competed for, if nothing else, for bragging rights and ability to link. And they were told the server firsts achievement would transfer with the character onto Icecrown (reference: https://forum.warmane.com/showthread...1#post3040162) ...so the real debate is whether the Title reward changes the competition...I'm not sure it does, but I may be wrong.

As for as the achievements themselves and "not being the first once transferred to Icecrown"...aren't the "date obtained" field stored different for every character? A quick inspection would be clear that the character wasn't the first on Icecrown if the date obtained was 2020+, so to me it would be clear it was achieved from Frostmourne or possibly other server transfers that might exist in the future. And we're already told they follow your character.

  8. so the real debate is whether the Title reward changes the competition...I'm not sure it does, but I may be wrong
Of course they do, trying to deny it is disingenuous. If they didn't, this suggestion wouldn't exist in the first place, people wouldn't care about an achievement that got turned into a Feat of Strength and a title that no one else would have anyway. The suggestion isn't about adding this custom content because the titles were cute, it's due to the bragging rights that come with having something that exclusive.

And we're already told they follow your character.
Already addressed three posts ago. What follows are achievements that exist in the current expansion which we host, and which exist in Icecrown, as well as the servers that merged to become Icecrown. What are you going to tell to people who have a decade old characters there, and who didn't bother with a race that had no reward at the end, but who would have to see outsiders coming in with something they never had a chance to fight for? Only applying "going forward" is even worse.

This would be akin to us now deciding to change the rewards of our last events, which a lot of people didn't participate because they didn't consider the prizes worth the effort, and now give what they were asking for. They would have all the right to be majorly pissed off, as they could have bothered competing in that case.
