1. Arrogant players in frostmourne server

I honestly dont know what to say on this one, my acc got suspended for 5 days due to ninja loot in dungeons. So a little backstory about me as a wow player, i started in the middle of 2022, i have always wanted to play since my father is like addicted to this game but never got the hang of it. Therefore a friend of mine got me familiar with warmane and their wotlk, a week earlier from this date my highest lvl achieved on a hero was 53, i currently have 6( 1-80, 1-53, 1-27, 1-57 death knight and 2 - 10lvls), so this is like a show of to that i am a newbie and i dont know anything about that game but i know 1 thing and that is that the frostmourne server is for new player such as me. 3days earlier while playing on heroic dungeon i got this healer, when we killed the final boss on my display were 3 items to choose either need or greed, i cant remember the first one but either way someone else won it, the second item an epic ring with higher gear score from mine so i chose need as it was an available option, and the third some orb i dont really know what it is for. Then this healer started to whispering me to give it to him because i am a moron and such words, basically bully me into giving him the ring. So i said no dude and i left, yet he typed me i got you GM report enjoy your ban moron etc.

Considering this I dont think that is fair both from him and the warmane staff, admins whatsoever, the server is SPECIFICALLY said to be for NEW PLAYERS and that toxicity from a person who obviously know a lot more than me aint the way to keep up such big community. I wouldve give it to him if he asked politely and explained why nicely. However he did not so i stood my ground, Not to mention that i had the need option AVAILABLE. Hope experienced players try to help us with a little info when the new players do something wrong instead of straight up bullying them.

  2. Nah dude, you "introduction" story is irrelevant.
Even more, it rises more questions - how can you not know basic loot rules if your father is such WoW fan? Even he would say that you are in wrong here, needing on item that is not actual upgrade for you (can't say it for sure, since you're silent on many details).
Gearscore means nothing, only stat values matter. And since you decided that 5 minutes of reading about loot rules is below your dignity, you are now enjoying 5 day ban. Hope you'll dins some time to read about them now.

  3. So im a hunter, the ring was intelligence which is more hp if im right so i thought ok imma take that but mostly because it adds up to my gear score which as far as i know is important to raiding and stuff also why would i be able to roll need for this item if i get banned when i take it?

  4. Gearscore is player invented thing that has nothing to do with raiding. Nor you gonna get to any raid with such "deep" knowledge.

  5. Gear score is not even a thing as important as stats and skill.
As a hunter, your main stats are attack power and agility, and you don't need that caster/healer ring at all
you messed up someone's upgrade and now you are suffering the consequences.

Furthermore, frostmourne is for new players to experience real gameplay from the era when blizzard released raids and progress step by step,
and that has nothing to do with "I'm a noob and I'll do what I want"

  6. Practically everything will have at least one stat that a hunter can use. That doesn't make it hunter loot.

Yes, hunters can use intellect because it increases their max mana. But you have to look at all the other stats too. If it's something like Spell Power, that's not something a hunter can use, and that makes the item not hunter loot, even if it has intellect and stamina too.

Maybe you're too new to read and understand that all stats on the item matter, and you broke the server rules in your ignorance, while pissing off a player to boot. Either learn a tough lesson, or ignore what you did wrong make the same mistake again and see how it goes.

  7. Explosive Shot scales with SP so SP gear is quite clearly hunter loot.

  8. Explosive Shot scales with SP so SP gear is quite clearly hunter loot.
    You've forgot "/s"))
Also, Arcane shot scales with it aswel.

  9. I'm glad you get banned.

If it was me that had the ring stolen, I would wisper you ingame and explain what you did wrong. Reading this topic, you would try to justify why you should have the ring, even tho it has nothing to do, with an hunter item.

Now you got banned, and have 5 days to read up on rules and how the your class works.

    Hunter Forum: https://forum.warmane.com/forumdisplay.php?f=123

Remember all items ninja looted gets destroyed, so no one of you is going to get the ring. What a waste of time.

  10. From what i see my explosive shot and arcane shot scales, which is a uprage for me because my main spec is survival, used beast mastery to farm until 80, as well as that my rings were old and not suitable for my level bcs of the low stats. In the matter of his stolen upgrade i used inspect and saw that he had way better rings on him as a healer. He had better ap mana hp intelect than the ring i took, so thats downgrade for him but upgrade for me

  11. Caster items are never an upgrade for physical DPS classes.
Nor did you address any other our points that prove you wrong.
Sacrificing you total damage output for 50-60 more damage from two spells is just dumb.
I've played Survival, and there are great guides about it here. You go for Agility stat, it is you best friend. There is never enough agility

  12. If the gear isn't best suited for your role, upgrade for you or not, you pick Greed.
You only use Need if the gear is meant for your role.
If the whole group, no exception, explicitly states they agree to let you pick Need you can do so. Not replying doesn't mean agreement.
One useful stat doesn't make it suited for your role.
The game might allow you to click Need, but that's abusable, so we have rules that supersede what the game lets you do.

  13. ok fair point i agree with everything said but how am i supposed to know those rules if i am new player and if something like this happens id normally be either kicked from the dungeon or being kicked and be bullied not explaining what i have done. From all the dungeons i have played in only once my team told me that we choose greed on green items to be fair for everyone and thats my problem that almost nobody does that and gives new players explanation. I think i already said that but if the guy who reported me asked politely and explained calmly why i should give him the ring i wouldve.

  14. For one, you could have read the server rules, which you find here on the Forum in their own section.

Aside that, sure, people could have been nicer, but you're also looking at it as an isolated incident, assuming that was the first time ever someone stole an item from them. You could have been the sixth person that day for all you know. Some people are just rude and there isn't much to be done about that, but patience has its limits too.

Even further, you're saying here that you're new and all that, but did you let the rest of the group know when you started those dungeons? You complain that no one explained, yet you might never have made them aware that you needed any explanation. This is an old game, in an old expansion, people won't assume you're a newbie to it by default.

  15. It's always a good idea to read all sorts of guides. Learning from such things is exactly what new players should do, people make those guides exactly for you. Then you have overall idea what gear you need, among other useful things. Battles are won or lost before they start, so arm yourself with information, there is a guide for pretty much anything, your spec, each raid, enchants, gold, each boss, anything. Start your positive feedback loop now or you will be doomed to whine about how everything is toxic forever.
