    PVP Items Disappeared From Character

    Around two weeks ago I purchased a character that had PVE and PVP gear (inventory included), I spent many coins on this character with the intention of playing mostly PVP. I paid for a gender and name change as well. All was good and I ran a bunch of BG's until two days ago when I logged on to join my very first 2v2 and ran 10 games with this character. After that I logged off. The next day I log in and queue a battleground. Half way through the battle ground I noticed I was getting melted and looking at my inventory - all my PVP gear was gone. All was equipped to my character before and now there are only empty slots. I lost 4 wrathful items and the medallion - just empty slots on my character. The equipment manager says the items are missing from the set. PVE items were still in the bag though.

    Here is what I ruled out:
    1) it happened while I was logged out
    2) I have two factor so I was not hacked - also it was only specifically those PVP items not any other item equipped or in bags.
    3) I am not enchanting so it was not disenchanted
    4) I use the in-game equipment manager - no addon for equipment
    5) bags were mostly empty with plenty of room for all items
    6) not in mail
    7) not in bank

    Things I suspect:
    1) has to do with joining arena teams and the end of the arena week
    2) may have something to do with character re-customization / name change

    In-game support said tough luck. I am still waiting on a response from premium support but from what I hear of others who experienced this, they will not do a dang thing. This is EXTREMELY upsetting because I have donated a ton of cash to buy many different characters and now I am worried that they will all lose gear at some point and I will not even notice.

    I was planning on buying more characters but am completely holding off because I spent a lot of money so far.

    After a day and a half support responded saying the items were removed because the original account fraudulently purchased them. They said I wasn't associated with that account so they sent the items back to me in the mail (although without any enhancements OR xmogs at all). I guess that's good enough just be careful purchasing characters!
