It says that the halls of reflection need a quest. It is necessary to find battered hills. I remember this used to fall from simple hc places. And where is the sword quest?

What is your question? How to obtain battered hilt or how to be able to enter halls of reflection?

Battered hilt drops from any trash mob in !!!HEROIC!!! Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron and Halls of Reflection.

To be able to enter HoR on any difficulty you have to complete a quest chain that starts in FoS(or a Ranger npc in Dalaran), goes through PoS and finishes at the end of HoR.

These two things - Battered hilt and the quest chain for the 3 dungeons - are not tied to each other, apart from the fact that if you want to farm hilt in PoS and HoR you'll need to complete the 3 dungeons quest chain. Other than that, battered hilt is a completely independent quest chain in itself.
