You have 2 choice , either Lord or Icecrown.
As a new person , i will suggest Lord. The hardcore raid really suck , i level 6 toon to 80 on lord and switch to icecrown after.... Lord level normally , and you will have time to learn to play the game better
But on icecrown you will level so fast. as a new player you will not know what you are doing when you reach level 80.

To be honest , I think Lord is way more friendlier than Icecrown..... people here tend to kick as soon it s don t go their way.... 2 experience from my last 24 hours....
A guy with a very high GS is trying to gear his alt. His alt is on follow not doing anything. Both of his toon are melee , and instead of putting his alt on a range or healer , he leave the alt on follow on himself. We wife because the healer is not healing 3 characters, the tank , the dps and the alt. I am on a character that is around 3500 gs, trying to gear him. I got kick out because they say my gs was too low.
I queue on a healer. Nobody is following anything , in the pit of sauron. Have people at 26 stack on the 2nd boss. I heal them all but die toward the end .... I get rez and decided to drink where i got rez. The tank then go up the hill (the group of 5) and charge them , i am out of mana , totally at the back (a good 25 sec by horse). When they die they start blaming me saying No heal , No heal .... and i got kick out again ....
I could go on and on .... just based on players (not the server , the server work awesome). Icecrown have a loot of pretentious people , people have no patience .....
My experience on Lord was 100% better .... it just really suck that all the raid are hardcore

been soloing so far and got to lv15, I really really don't have a clue on what to do...
started a bloodelf hunter and somehow blindly following thru quests I somehow found myself in some orclands, im having the time of my life though

the amount of spells/skills on Hunter overwhelmed me at the start, but atlaeaest it's better than spamming Double Strafe till your fingers fall off

On Icecrown you can choose the rate of exp gain by right-clicking your exp bar and choosing either x7, x5, x3, x1 or x0.5 exp gain. I like to level on x1 and do dungeons on x0.5 as to not level too fast but still be able to run dungeons.
