If I queue as dps-tank, I at least check the healer so I can adjust.
If I queue as a healer and the tank is a dps, I at least ask them to either go tank spec or pull smarter. Otherwise, if I'm "overgeared" I just expect them to hold good aggro so that I know I'm only really HEALING one person and just casually booping 3-4 others with a occasional hot.
No need to overcomplicate the situation just because no arguments or need to sound smart/right.
You are totally right, you should have fun in this game. Who cares if I play off-meta and go with dps spec. It's fun. That's why the next runs, I will queue as tank with dps spec and equip cloth and spellcaster items.
Sounds really fun. For you, and no one else. And that's the problem.
Honestly, it seems like a general issue of our time; F everyone, I'm the maincharacter and you're all just NPCs. Now imagine MMORPG.
Don't you think this was an issue during retail WOTLK as well? Personally, idgaf if someone queues as a tank with DPS spec or not. I do it on my ret and 9/10 it ends well as long as the heal can play well too. Point is, it's the internet. The world of disagreement. What can you do about a failing DPS-Tank? Vote to kick him/her/they. Viola.
@Liep and? You sound more like a problem, than victim.
I have 3 tanks myself, and there is nothing stressful in tanking RDF at all.
This quite frankly isn't true, I've been insulted for the entire run for losing aggro on 1 single mob out of the entire dungeon, and said mob didn't even drop the dps below 80% hp. Anything less than 100% perfection is deplorable trash in the eyes of others.
I've also tanked in "Dungeon Hero" gear, which is pvp + tank + dps gear that puts you at -5.6% crit chance (defense cap) and I run dungeons on speed-run doing the highest dps and taking full aggro on all. The main problem in this instance is the healer, who often times deflects his poor performance of having 1200-1800 heals per second when even a poorly geared low iq healer spamming 1 heal on repeat can pull 2500-3000 heals per second.
Full dps gear = Should be kicked
Hybrid Tank = Not a problem, fast dungeon, healer should heal better
Full tank = snooze fest and slow dungeon due to low dps (3 mages at 2.6k gearscore using rotting sinew, stiffened corpse, wodins, harbingers bone band, and other not-mage items to be able to queue for rdf hc for boosts)
The primary problem being addressed in this thread is a lack of a STAT-SCORE add-on, and simultaneously good programming on dungeons allowing players to queue for them based on STAT-SCORE.
