Hey everyone,
I couldn't find anything about my issue so here it is:
As we all know MAC doesn't support 32 bit games anymore, but I made it run with winery, so that's not the problem.
I downloaded the client and there is no realmlist.wtf anywhere in any folder, I looked everywhere.
Alright, so I got a separate realmlist.wtf online, moved it into EnGb folder and on Mac I have either the option to open it with Notes,
which doesn't let me edit the actual file, or with text editor, which lets me edit the file.
But even though I set the realmlist list to set realmlist logon.warmane.com, I still can't connect.
Is there any way to play on mac at all without installing windows?
Any help would be highly appreciated!
Thanks for your answer :)
Yes, I downloaded it directly from warmane, but there is no realmlist.wtf whatsoever in any folder. It's simply not there.
So again, I downloaded a realmlist.wtf from another source, and changed the realmlist, as I wrote before, but I still can't connect. I also connected with my username, but usually the server name should show in the bottom right corner, but there is nothing and I'm stuck at "connecting".
Follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"
Just done that and on Mac right click on folder clicked on "Get Info" (on mac there is no properties option), and it's marked as read & write.
But it still doesn't work :/ .. It must have something to do with the realmlist.wtf, but I just can't figure out what it could be, other than that it's a Mac issue.
I can start the game, but not connect ._.
I just found out something weird, when re-downloading the torrent I made him show me which files are in the whole package and for some reason a few files including the realmlist were not marked and thus weren't downloaded o.O .. Downloading the whole thing again now and I'll let you know if it worked
FINALLY! To everyone who had the same problem:
When you download the client, make sure you download ALL FILES with it, for some reason some files were not marked for download.
Everything works now, thanks to your replies and help :)
Hello.
I've found and have the realm list but after change that for correct it doesn't connect to the server. iMac 2007 with Osx El capitan. Where is the problem?

You are trying to play x86 architecture game on Mac. That's like only real problem.
Either get some cheap laptop with integrated graphics or proper PC.
Neither Apple, nor Blizzard are interested in supporting 15 year old game (i.e. losing profits).
As Apple user, you surely have some spare money to buy proper device, instead of wasting them on another marketing "innovative" garbage from Apple.
