Is it considered ninja looting to need on a BOE that you legitamately need as an upgrade but then sell it instead of using it because it's overpriced at the time?

Is it mandatory to equip the BOE?

Is it just yours by ownership and thus it's fine to sell?

If it isn't, it should be, because that's the definition of ninjaing: rolling need on items you don't need.

While not specified in the rules, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if a proper report, showing you winning the item and not having it equipped after a while, led to a ban. If you want to sell the item for gold you have a very aptly named option to pick, Greed.
