I was banned for rolling cloth gear as holy paladin (lvl 31 item) ban was revoked after my appeal and their investigation, but it was too late,i already quit.
I honestly have no nerves to do every dungeon in fear of getting banned. Holy paladins roll on dps cloth/mail/leather dps gear because there's no that many healing pieces for holy paladin in pre raid content. I imagine rolling on dps turban would get me banned instantly, yet paladins in vanilla always rolled on it.
I quit and that solved my issues.Never felt better actually.
What healing gear? There's no healing gear for holy paladins.Paladins ALWAYS rolled on ''Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to * ''' Even t1 and t2 sets do not give healing, but spell dmg.
Loot rules warmane made do not work in vanilla and i bet none of you played vanilla before.
By these rules it literally means holy paladins cant roll on their t1 and t2 sets, because it has strength and its spell damage rather than healing.

The loot rules are for RDF, which didn't exist in Vanilla.
You're free to do it the Vanilla way, forming a group manually and splitting gear however you like within your closed group of people who are of like mind.
I never had issue of being banned from rdf for ninjalooting as tank even if i rolled for items like HOJ that i got.
The good solution is to just make your own group made of people who wont be after specific item or specific type of tiems you need, like for example you dont grab mdps if you need hoj, if you need dps plates you can take anything but dps warriors/paladins etc.
Healing gear does not exist for holy paladins. There are 2-3 pieces in high end dungeons and that's it. There's a reason holy paladins always needed (one example) on cloth dps turban .
You cant gear holy paladin for raid, unless you need on spell dmg done items in pre raid dungeons.
Even Paladin's tier 1 and tier 2 sets are spell damage done .
Anyway, spell damage items clearly state '' Increases damage AND HEALING done by magical spells and effects by up to * ''
Needing on gear you do not benefit from should be banable and its clear to everyone what that means. But i never saw in my life for holy paladin to get banned for needing on cloth stam/int gear especially on vanilla server.
Blizzard messed up heavily with itemization, and proper healing-only items were added in later patches.
You enabled RFD but people cant need on items they are supposed to need on in order to gear for raids.Only dps benefit from RDF,no wonder queues are 80 minutes long with 9 k players population.

I've not once seen anyone complain about holy paladins rolling on gear that provides both spell and healing. However there is one clear distinction on them separating it, mp5 for healers and hit for dps. healers will be reported for ninjaing if they cross that and roll for spell hit items when cloth dps needs it.
Ye brother/sister.
Needing on hit gear as a healer is a POS move, but Turban is actually BIS for hpalas and they have been needing on it since beginning of time.
I quit when they revoked my ban , because i was pissed off it got to that point in the first place . No way i am playing on a server where every time i am about to log in, its a gamble if you got banned or not. No thank you. not worth wasting my time, spending countless hours farming items, just to log in one day and find myself perma banned because i won item.
Fun fact : The day i got banned,i won roll against 2 friends (2 mages) All 3 of us rolled on cloth leggings with stam/int + shadow damage. Considering we had no lock or shadow priest it was a fair game and it was a massive upgrade for all 3 of us. 5 hours later i got banned.
As I have asked before to another player, would you stick to tanking for those DDs you took the item from after you're fully geared? They need a Tank for the group, Tanks want the same gear as them, what do you see happening when Tanks have their gear already? What you expected to happen would only benefit Tanks and Healers, getting them carried on damage by DDs who would then be promptly ditched once those roles were geared.
Also, to clarify, since you keep saying "revoked" about your ban, you're mistaken. The duration of the ban was pardoned. You were given a second chance and allowed to play again. The ban still remained on your record and would count for repeat infractions.
Not that it matters, since you keep saying you quit, which just makes me wonder why are you still in the Forum then. Just to complain about something you aren't doing?
TBH im even top dps as tank pugs grps are wild.
and the ebtter the healer the more dps i can do. and if i have heal gear for diamond flask i can be top heal top tank top dps. warrior best
go reroll warrior
Long dps queue times is not a new thing. Everyone is too proud and has high ego so they dont even want to think about giving up recount rat race. So only few heroes man up, give up recount race and tank.
And unironically even on these rules TANKS STILL CAN EASILY GEAR UP THEIR DPS SPEC. And tank deficit is on their side.
I literally was only tanking dungeon finder dungeons since i got 15 lvl on my warrior and i had no issue with getting banned over gear. I was getting mainly tanking gear but also i grabbed dps gear nobody needed and that way i was geared up for both specs, if i was after specific dps piece i just formed my own group that included people who wont need specific item and boom. And trust me, that way as a tank you still can fully collect your dps gear way faster than dps will get his gear simple because as a tank you do 3-4 dungeons while dps at the same time will do 1 dungeon and maybe start second, still you can gear up both roles faster than dps gears himself up.
Regardless of long queues and not being able to roll on items you actually need,i like RDF. Its better than no RDF for sure. If you queue up,it will pop up eventually
While waiting in queue, you can farm or watch movies or something
Totally ignored the topic.
Well then there is a problem that needs solving. If Tank/healer players have no reason to queue RDF because they no longer need gear from dungeons OR they will get reported for rolling on gear pieces that is not of the highest weight class they can use, even though the stats are exactly what their class lacks and is considered their BiS before raiding (+Hit mail/leather pieces for tanks as example, so you know... they can actually hit things), then they won't queue at all resulting in extremely long RDF queues. Since this is not Vanilla "no changes" project I think Warmane could easily change some things in game like changing some stats on certain pieces of dungeon loot, such as adding + Hit on some plate pieces effectively making it Bis preraid warrior loot and removing the need of leather/mail in their gear sets as example. It that would easily solve the whole reason topics like this get created. As for geared tank/healers not queing RDF to help out their fellow players? Add Incentives, such as sufficient gold rewards for players that perform said roles and RDF will be booming same as in Wotlk where even overgeared players come get their frost emblems.
