no reputation for winning and very minimal reputation in the bg itselt (60 rep for the whole AB that ended 1500 to 1400ish)
not much reputation for wsg either and 0 for winning

It only takes 1200 wsg flag caps to get exalted. Should be done by wotlk.

It's been recommended countless times that honor be a currency for purchasing rep tokens. It usually just gets ignored.

What i remember it is normal.
In original WoW vanilla the battlegrounds came on later phases and the bg marks sometime after. Marks was used for repeatable turn-in quests to gain some rep,exp and i think one time gold reward. So i think they will add the marks in phase 2.
ps: I grinded wsg, ab and av to exalted in original tbc with a char that i made around arena season 2 and got Conqueror title before wotlk, without mark turn-in. Yes i had no life back then and also PvP was totally different and fun back then when there had not been rated bg's yet to change the play style of groups.
