I got a discount coupon for the new year, the coupon also says 8 points but i didnt get them. How does it work ?

You must assign New Year gift to one of your characters, after that you will receive everything.

Once again: I think if you didn't redeem the gifts during Christmas you are too late and have lost them.

The gifts are no longer claimable. You had till January 6th or 10th to collect them. It would be silly if you could claim winter holiday gifts in February.
