My buddy is trying to create an account. Everytime he types in the 2 factor code, it says invalid and sends a new code.
We have tried everything we can think of. Any advice?

Remove the email and account name from your post for starters.
You could switch to google authenticator instead of using email. Google Authenticator offers bit better QoL over email codes in my opinion.
