A question regarding WARRIOR class

As an arms warrior for example when I equip one handed axe, does it go to off hand? But there goes the shield. On the store I see one handed axes for 17/18 points, but when I equip it will it be in off hand or main hand? There's shield in OFF hand. This confuses me a lot.

Can someone explain it to me? Thanks in advance!

The tooltip can say "main hand", "off hand", or nothing; if it says nothing, that means you can put the weapon on either hand.

I think I get the point now. So on the store there's off hand and one hand (one handed axes). If I get off hand axe I will not be able to get it into one hand I mean as main hand weapon. Because its the place for the shield.

So If I get for example one hand as it says I will be able to get that axe alongside with the shield?

Yes, as long as it is a one-handed axe and it does not say "off hand" you will be able to use it along the shield.
