This message is absurd, anybody can join a bg right now and prove you wrong, so what is the purpose of it?
Except Icecrown ally is filled with all the best pvp players who are all bis because human has the best racial. They turn off mercmode. Meanwhile every starter player on BR who needs gear ends up on horde automatically because ally is already filled with Icecrown allys and merc mode is forced on BR.
OP isn't wrong, just hyperbolic. The top gear bracket right now is just depressing if you are horde, there is no incentive to play.
That happens in AV and IoC, but the win ratio of the rest of bgs must be very similar to 50%, especially in these last months.
This is true, I play both factions and OP is telling the truth.
There is no Horde and Alliance side anymore.Alliance players fighting with alliance players at battlegrounds and arena.Blackrock realm serving to feed alliance premades from Icecrown.Forcing merc mode all realms or racial swap suggestions already declined. They simply saying if you want play pvp, transfer to alliance side or go play somewhere else.Forget about world of warcraft story forget about choosing side. Then this game not become world of warcraft anymore.
Can we get a Mercenary Mode enabled for Horde players LOL? Or I just have to wait 30 days to have points to transfer Alliance and disable Merc mode altogether and help the imbalance become bigger?
If they want to give us balanced BGs they could implement solo queue (no premades) random battle ground where everyone gets forced mercenary mode. That is essentially what happens when you play from Blackrock except you can still form premades. The win ratio is most certainly not 50-50 for the casual player. I win about 60-65% of my games solo queuing as DPS on Alliance. If you are a good healer, expect 70%+ win rate as Alliance, and 80-90%+ if you run premades.
If you are good healer on horde, expect 10% win rate, and 11% if you run premades.
You just join wrong bgs.
Just today i've entered into WSG as Alliance, They had 2 healer, 3x shadowmournes and 2 hunters from Icecrown which were most likely scripting (immune to stuns, cyclone or dmg in general and speedhack + oneshoting pretty much everyone). Meanwhile our team didnt had any kind of damage or healing.
So no wonder we got decimated and farmed on GY.

Now that I thought about it some more, I believe the average win rate for most players are well below 50% (10-40% depending on gear/skill is not unbelievable). This is because the losing teams have a high rate of turn over, so for every winner that is produced, you get 1-3 losers. The in-game and Warmane website battleground statistics are useless because it doesn't always display the correct numbers and it will not track abandoned battlegrounds. This means it's not easy to win half of the random battlegrounds without a premade. On the plus side, the queue times for random battlegrounds seem very short for solo-queues. The typical wait time for me is under 5 minutes during peak hours.

Solo que without premades sounds good, could work.
Actual state of bg looks really ugly, I see GY farming in at least 50% of games.
Im wondering how do these premades get fun from GY farming,
those bis players kill people so fast that they can't even do full dps rotation on target,
it is like race for last hit to just do high K/D ratio and nothing else matters.
I don't think soloq for BG would be a good solution.
Ppl would just disable merc mode and then use AV enabler to solo queue at the same time. Then in the end they would still be able to team up in BG.
Beside that WoW is ment to be played together and ppl shouldn't be punished for teaming up.
I think the issue is much rather that there is no incentive in the high gear bracket to actually win a BG and care about BG objectives. That's why players have this braindead GY ganking mentality and ignoring of any BG objective.
The solution could be rated BGs which would give premades a reason to actually win the BG to achieve a high rating.
The solution is to just cap HKs at 100k, or at least make it so people can't see your HKs above 100k. Then there would be no more incentives to farm HKs.
