1. Is it just going to be ganking 24/7?

I'm new to Warmane. I was prepared to stick around and donate the sub fee instead of paying Activision to play retail or Classic, but it's exactly as I feared. As soon as you get to a PVP zone, ganking is incessant. Horde players are camping Lakeridge, Darkshire, and Menethil for hours at a time. That's not an exaggeration. Two players have been camping Redridge off and on for three hours today. There was another player camping Darkshire for just as long yesterday. They kill the FMs and ride up and down the map, so you have to corpse run to try to get to another zone.

I already know the responses will be "It's allowed. Deal with it." or "You can quit and go back to Classic" or something like that, and I guess I'll have to. Maybe Warmane will spin up a PVE server someday. It was nice to play some true classic WoW for 20ish levels at least. Wish you guys the best.

  2. Your post ends with you saying that you won't play here so why post this diatribe in the first place?

  3. I wouldn't consider it a "diatribe" by any definition. I posted it in the hope that the Warmane devs will see enough posts like this and be encouraged to start a PVE server. I appreciate the short fun I had and the players who were helpful.

I hope you were not offended. Shred92. Good luck!

  4. This is a server with PvP on. There will be PvP.

  5. "There is too much ganking" or "launch a pve realm" are not novel ideas by any measure.

  6. Using main roads in contested territories is a death wish, it always been like that.

Try to play more sneaky and you will be fine.

  7. The game is called World of Warcraft. Not World of Herb Gathering. Deal with it.

  8. Blizzard designed World of Warcraft to have this dynamic, not Warmane. The game is called "World of Warcraft" for a reason—Horde and Alliance are enemies, whether you're level 1 or level 80. On a PvP server, you should expect to face strong opposition. Despite the presence of gankers on both sides, many players still manage to level their characters to 80 without significant issues.

  9. Just do a call to arms in the global channel, write a nice message asking your fellow alliance high level players to take up arms and come and kill the horde scumbags :). I'd respond to such a call!

But you choose the cowards way out - forum rant and a quick quit!

  10. and this very toxicity is exactly why warmode was introduced...and what a great change it was.

Feel sorry for you and all new players, because 24/7 gankers come also to forum to read posts like this and feed on it.
Look how they jumped on you just to discourage you even outside the game.

  12. It's the same thing on the Alliance side, the problem is they don't attack those of the same level as them, strange, isn't it?

Gankers can be countered by using brains. Wouldn't say commenters here are discouraging, merely stating how it is without sugarcoating it. But since using brains seems to be a taboo, some players opt to QQ threads demanding a PvE server instead.

OP posts asking if ganking is persistent. He knows it is, he knows that people will them him it is. OP of course isn't liking it, and is basically asking for PvE realm, as directly suggesting one is against is forum rules. He wants devs to read it, but that's a very slim chance ever happening, or given much thought after reading it. A dime in dozen post. What did he do to counter ganking? By the looks of it, nothing. Then OP gives the impression he's not going to play here. "Hi, ganking bad, make PvE, bye".

Have you noticed none of the ganking threads that are made never ask how to improve their gameplay experience. Instead they throw insults towards gankers (gankers deserves it tbh), complain about their experience, demand PvP to be made against rules, or demand PvE realm. Quite often it's an ultimatum: Do this or I leave. With relatively fresh account with no prior post history doing/saying this, I wonder if it's just a lost cause at that point anyway. If they opt to quit after a bad experience because they can't seem to get over it, I'm not gonna stop them. They'll run out of options anyway if they keep at it.
