"- Engineering?
We will use 2.4.3 rules for engineering items in arena. It will limit most engineering items"
I don't know why he would say most are limited if they were not. Most limited sounds like everything disabled except epic engineering goggles like X11's which do not provide on use stealth detection. This makes the most sense. Some clarity certainly wouldn't hurt though.
Yeah I understand that's what he said, "most engineering items are limited" probably means stuff like freeze grenades, rocket boots, reflectors, etc...
I believe in 2.4.3 belt and goggles were still enabled (according to some searching), unless the Warmane devs made a special exception and change to disable them of course.
I think most people definitely would prefer them to be disabled, but it's the devs call to go full-Blizzlike or not, and the players will adapt either way.
I would also like to second the request to disable class stacking in arena.
Pretty much everyone in the TBC prep discord wants belt/net/goggles disabled. They'll lose a decent amount of players if this garbage is allowed imo.
Saying this as an RM player who benefits very highly from belt/goggles. Still trash for the meta.
Trust me, these people will still continue playing. Threatening to quit over things like this is just cringe because we all know you will not do it anyway.

Warmane Onyxia was always supposed to be a "Blizzlike Experience", so I can't say that it's a big surprise they'd follow blizzlike rules.
We still don't know for sure anyways.
Personally I would not quit over this because I know the better players would still win the vast majority of games, despite the meta being slightly "worse" or whatever.
Also no offense but let's not throw stones in a glass house, you can't be criticizing the meta if you're playing RM haha.
@Malaco
Will soloq be available and will it be 3v3 or 5v5 as some ppl suggested?
Please no Solo Queue, everything besides convenience is horrible about this game mode, starting by matchmaking and ending with insanely low quality gameplay, if possible add incentives to the regular 3vs3 bracket, for example by adding Blackrock quests including 3vs3 a lot.

I agree with you but many ppl are too lazy to search for team mates or are casuals who just want some quick games.
My suggestion would be to merge soloq with the regular 3s or 5s bracket. Instead of decreasing the activity of the regular brackets, soloq would boost their activity.
Soloq could also work for 3s and 5s simultaniously.
It could serve as a tool to fill the remaining slots of a party.
For expl, when you queue as a party with 2 players it searches for a third mate for 3s bracket just like duo queue does on wotlk.
But when you queue as 4 it searches for a 5th mate for 5s bracket.
And ppl who queue alone for soloq could either end up in the 3s or 5s bracket.

That would only be acceptable, in my opinion, if the whole three or five were considered as solo queue for rankings and reward availability.

No soloQ please, those are mostly just ****shows filled with trolls, ruiners and noobs. Also most TBC classes and specs is not flexible and balanced in terms of power compare to Wrath. Rather make people form their own teams.

Agreed. Soloq isn't meant for TBC. imo it's a terrible bracket regardless. Look at retail lmao.
Also, just bumping the PTR testing for arenas note. Tons of arena players are ready to go in and help the devs find any bugs prior to release so we have a great arena launch experience. Especially since arena is available day 1 on Onyxia.

Tons of arena players and TBC private servers is a bold statement, more like a "handful" would be a better description as the arena community is incredibly small. However testing some mechanics would be great indeed as a lot of mechanics may still be based on 3.3.5a behavior but doing it solo with 4 clients open is rough.
Also if there are truly "tons of arena players" you could already log in and test, arena queue is up and working. Getting my friends to do it did not work out but maybe you know different ones xD.

You are obviously not in this TBC arena discord if you're saying stuff like this.
There is a TON of hype in the arena community around this launch since they added blackrock. A large amount of blackrock players are making toons on Onyxia too.
Just want to make sure we can help out how we can before launch.
