1. Faction imbalance

A faction change will be the dead of alliance's guilds. It has happened multiple times and it will happen again: Medivh was imbalance, Outland was REALLY imbalanced and Onyxia, which is already imbalanced, will follow the same path.

If you are gonna open faction change, make it just from horde to alliance or you will make the problem worse. A serious issue due to racials imbalance.

Unless its what you are looking for, to force players to a paid faction change to keep playing (which I hope its not), there is no reason to do it.

  2. I think people often misunderstand how faction balance works. Alliance doesn't need more people, solo players come and go. Alliance needs more guilds. It's the guilds that create action. It would be nice if 2-3 active horde raiding guilds faction transferred to ally. These guilds would then become a beacon around which solo players would gather. An incentive in form of a chance to successfully join a raiding guild would draw even more people to alliance. Nobody wants to play a faction that doesn't raid and right now alliance looks exactly like that, even tho that's not entirely true. The only question is: how do you make/incentivize them to transfer?

  3. As many TBC servers as I've seen, they were all imbalanced at best 30/70 not in favor of the alliance, no matter what improvements were offered for the alliance. Those who play for the alliance play for the alliance no matter what, opportunists always run in search of a better life.
Therefore, leave everything as is, especially there is no need to introduce any concessions for the alliance that would reduce the required time to achieve goals and time spent in the game, this only exacerbates the problem.
PS: yes, I always play for the alliance no matter what.

  4. Just crossfaction everything in the game, this cringe faction gating is so outdated and just harms the population. Players can still experience the level routes and zones they prefer by picking the faction they like the most but are not unable to experience end game content because their faction is dead.
Same applies to pvp queues, just let everyone queue with each other.

  5. Just crossfaction everything in the game
Warmane should rather make racials independent of the race so everyone can freely choose his racials. It would solve the faction imbalance in pvp and pve as well.
I think that would be less of a custom content than making everything cross faction because the war between the alliance and horde is a key part of the game.

  6. Sometimes custom content is required to fix a aging game.
Ppl don't play WoW like 20 years ago. Everybody is min maxing nowadays and it's causing serious issues such as the enormous factions imbalance.
Everybody who does PvP on Wotlk knows what I'm talking about. Only humans everywhere or undeads who are actually humans in mercenary mode.
It is long overdue that EMFH is nerfed or available to all races.

Not sure if the racial imbalance is that bad in TBC but my guess is that everybody will roll horde.

  7. The vast majority of the player base of any game are the casuals, and they don't care or are deeply affected by any of that.

  8. But they DO care about being able to play the game in their faction or not. A low pop faction is unplayable.

  9. playable, but a little more difficult than k-pop

  10. But they DO care about being able to play the game in their faction or not. A low pop faction is unplayable.
Yet the only people who show up to say it's "unplayable" seem to not be the casuals, who are still just playing the game casually.

  11. I do t even know why do I bother. Lets just buy the faction change service xD

  12. Just crossfaction everything in the game, this cringe faction gating is so outdated and just harms the population.

I don't know why the vocal minority on this forum always suggest some of the dumbest ideas constantly without fail. I just hope the mods don't entertain these stupid ideas.

Regarding the Faction imbalance issue. The only solution is to limit faction changes exclusively to only be possible from Horde-to-Alliance. A one way faction change.

Once the population is even and reaches the 50% - 50% threshold, you can remove the faction change option again.

I sincerely hope you include yourself in your first sentence.

Even a "one-way faction change" will not make entire guilds swap from Horde to Alliance after being established on one faction for months and deliberately forfeit the stronger PvE racial abilities. Players need more incentives, as it has been the case on literally every TBC private server in existence. See old Warmane Outland TBC server where additional Alliance perks were also applied, you can still find the official posts in the "News" forum section if you want to read it yourself.

Your replies are always amusing though.

  14. It will be greate if they open transfer from hord --> to alliance because as we can see on the "Information" is perma 10% difference some time is 12-14% for Hord (57% Hord / 43% for Alliance)
