Technical Store items not being delivered

I bought coins for the first time 3 days ago. Then I had to wait 72 hours till my account will be able to buy something on trade and now I finally bought some golds for Northrend flying, and you know what? I didnt received for 5 hours. So I paid real money for service I didnt get. I know that security is important but waiting three days? Besides that I have to authorize my acc everytime I log in bc I am playing at home and work, which is super suspicious to Warmane. Such a wasting time...

Hm, Warmane developers. Why didn't you put every gift claim on the separate Thread in runtime for execution? It's year 2020 and you used programming paradigm from 90's.

Do you know how many players warmane has? Spawning threads for every claim is just pointless from both memory and cpu point of view. Next up, thread might fail, someone might be fast, spawn two, get double gift. They keep logs of everything, each thread writing to the same log, there's some synchronization penalty. I'd also let it go in batches, easier for the server, no painful synchronization, no unnecessary threads spawning and dying for no reason.

There is no need to have separate Thread for each account, you can make 10 or 100 Threads to process the data. The data is not large, its just text. And it's nothing compared to what the Realm Servers demand in terms of ressources but yet it still works solid. Imagine if Google search engine requests work in 1 Thread?

Also the data from one account does not depend and is not related to the data to any other account. There is no interference between accounts meaning that in order to execute the Thread from one account you do not need any data from any other account. The execution of claiming gift on one account doesn't have to wait anything from any other account.

I think everyone should stop thinking that they are the center of the universe & simply give staff some time to address the issue. As staff has already stated, due to the activity volume, and 10,000+ players using shop to buy items, it is a given that system will collapse. Give it a day. Jeez

Where are you from? In my country as a PAYING customer you are kinda center of the universe. Warmane IS responsible for the capacity, not us. If you dont have enough space just dont offer the service. Dont take my coins if you cant deliver trade. Simply as that.

You aren't a "PAYING customer". You are a donor. This is not a paid service. This is a donation. Warmane is NOT obligated to give you anything for the donation. You aren't buying coins. Coins are a "thank you" type of thing. It is their way of saying thank you for supporting them.

Warmane is also listed as a non-profit organisation, but do you honestly believe that all the money that are being donated daily are going for the server and not in someone's pocket? Do you believe that with the money they make daily they are unable to hire a decent devs team that won't create 6 issues whilst fixing 1?

Donation =/= payment for service. Look up the definition.
Warmane is non profit. Does not mean they dont have salaries. They do. They have fixed salaries of lets say...$30,000/year... for the server owner. If there is still left over money, like 10-30k, owner does NOT take the money. That's illegal in the eyes of tax collectors. Warmane is a registered business. Just like every other private server. They do report their income to their corresponding country tax collecting agency. Rest of the money earned goes towards developers, DDoS protection, server upgrades and etc etc etc.

Unlike any other server out there, Warmane does off by far the most superior service & server stability. No other server come close to the volume it has to endure.
Smaller Pservers, wont get into names, do NOT require as many developers or as large servers. They have less income, less players and therefore worse hardware. You really underestimate the cost of running servers to handle 20k players and keep latency (ping) at under 30. If your ping is higher, thats your issue. I play with 10-30 ping 24/7

Your ping is also effected by your location. I have 200mb/s and i stay at like 110 b/c I live is USA

But yes people here generally dont understand how much it costs and effort it takes to keep something like this up and running 24/7.

I mean Blizzard took the servers down every week for what 6-9 hours on average? The server go down here for 3 mins and people freak out lmao

There is a backlog of ingame mail deliveries due to new year gift deliveries happening at the same time.

Quite a massive backlog actually, they are processed in batches so it may take several hours.

Rest assured everything will be delivered in due time, nothing is lost, everyone will see log history etc.
