It seems like right around this time every year there's an announcement about "Inactivity Cleanup and Gold Squish for a healthier economy" in the server news, and as I'm not seeing one for 2025 just yet, it's got me wondering: is this happening again this year?
If so, when will it be happening, and how recently do you need to have logged-into your characters?
It looks for the last 4 years, the deal has been:
* If you haven't logged-in in 6 months and you're less than level 51, the toon's deleted
* If you haven't logged-in in 1 year and your toon didn't get deleted, it's renamed
What qualifies as active? Is it enough just to log in, take a few steps in a circle, maybe talk to a vendor, and log back out or do you need to spend some amount of time logged-in?

Active means that you logged in. Once you have logged in, you can log out in a microsecond without pressing a single button if you want and it will still count.

On Icecrown you can check it @ Barracks. Characters made recently, but not logged will also be flagged for rename.

Was wondering the same thing regarding when 2025 inactivity clean up would be. Didn't want to open new thread as this one is exists and is fairly recent. Any info would be wonderful! Asking from icecrown server.
And in the case of clean up, how can players know details? (do i have to keep looking here on forum?)

Info will be seen on the main page https://www.warmane.com/ and in the news section of the forum https://forum.warmane.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2
If you want to keep names and avoid character deletion, you could just login them once now and you don't have to worry about it for a year.
