1. Got Banned for Botting?

I got banned for botting even though I'm not using any bot or any 3rd party app. What happened is that I'm doing my fishing daily quest in Wintergrasp (the terrorfish quest) and suddenly got disconnected, and when I log back in, I receive a note that I got banned—not just a normal ban but a perma ban. Additional info: Also, while I'm waiting for the Wintergrasp battle, I go fishing in Wintergrasp for the fish feast mats.

Does anyone have an idea on how to lift my ban or fix this problem? The Warmane support still doesn't reply to my ticket. What system does Warmane use to track botters? Because I'm certainly not botting. Because if this is the case, anyone who does daily fishing quests or fishing in Wintergrasp, whether they are botting or not, will still get perma-banned.

  2. site > support > ban appeal and you wait its take max 1 week i think

  3. If the ban appeal ticket isn't an option on the site, write your ban appeal to [email protected] instead.

Wait time may take a week or two, depending how many other tickets are made. Ban appeals are the lowest priority.

  4. He said he already opened a ticket, but didn't get a reply yet...

They are manually issued by a GM, after receiving a report and going confirm it or witnessing it first-hand themselves. Botting bans, as any other permanent ones, are taken very seriously and hardly, if ever, reverted, because they happen for a reason. Trying to say you didn't do it will likely earn you a reply that the evidence was reviewed and it's clear botting was taking place.

I completely understand the seriousness of botting bans, and I respect the rules of the server. I can assure them that I have not used any botting software or third-party programs while playing. If there was any misunderstanding or maybe some player mistaken me as a botter because i was always on the wintergrasp, I would appreciate it if they could provide more specific details or evidence regarding to my ban, as I would like to understand exactly what led to this decision. I have always aimed to play fairly and uphold the integrity of the game. If there is any way to resolve this or review the evidence in more detail, I would be grateful for the opportunity.

  6. Evidence isn't shared with players, they are meant for Staff use.
You receiving the ban when you were in Wintergrasp doesn't mean the botting happened there, it could have been reported and investigated days before.

I see; it sounds like I can finally sleep properly after knowing this, because I know I didn't do anything suspicious. I only fished in the Dalaran underbelly while increasing my fishing skill or in Wintergrasp, and I just recently maxed my fishing a few days ago. I'm pretty sure I've been mistakenly a bot.

  8. Finally, after days of waiting, I got my reply from Warmane support. Unfortunately, it's a permanent ban. I can't believe this is happening. I spent 150 coins buying SM for my toon, dedicated time and effort leveling up my professions, grinding reputations for cool mounts, and then spending a lot of time increasing my fishing, and the Warmane staff rewarded me by permanently banning my account.

I know I didn't use botting or any other third-party apps, and my conscience is clear. I'm not sure how the Warmane team determines whether a person is a botter. That toon has a ton of gems and fishing regents, but that doesn't indicate I'm using a bot.

  9. Well, with extremely rare exceptions, every person caught botting tells that story, no matter how obvious it was, despite them believing they were doing a good job hiding it. Even the part about having donated, which some players seem to believe grants some sort of immunity. This is why on my first reply I told you that just trying to claim innocence would have this result. All you did was get more people analyzing the case and agreeing that you were in fact botting and there was no reasonable doubt about it.
