Hi, in this thread I want to address something I don't like about transmogging and honestly does not make much sense to me - the impossibility to transmog white items.
While I can understand limits such as:
cloth <> cloth
staff <> staff
1H <> 1H
2H <> 2H
and such, obviously due to some animations/models limited compatibility. I simply cannot grasp how white items are excluded from transmogging. I made some effort to collect every item for my pirate tmog only to find out half of them are white quality and cannot be used to complete my transmog.
I don't know if this is just hard to code and implement or if this creates compatibility issues somehow, but I would be very grateful if someone would explain me the reason of such limit.
Lastly if it's possible I would like to suggest making white items available for transmogging since they give very classic looks and simply fit better to some themes like pirate or other even more casual, classic-like themes. I do not see any cons of such change - everyone should be able to transmog every item quality, even gray, to make them look exactly how they want to, also looking at someone's tmog is entirely optional, as you can just opt-out of it on the website.
Although again, I'm not the coder here, so I cannot possibly know if this is hard to change/implement, thus please let me know if such thing is possible. I'm eager to hear your opinions on this topic!
That's because you can only use transmog scrolls on soulbound items. Gray items are technically unable to become soulbound and can be sold/traded after being used for transmog.
However, I don't think it would be hard to make an exception for gray items, but I think such QoL changes aren't what Warmane focuses on.
To be honest I don't think devs even look at this forum section.
Seems like the whole purpose of "Suggestions & Changes" forum is to have arguments with Obnoxious and Shred
They do, as well as other Staff. It isn't mine or their fault that almost every suggestion is: something already covered in what to not suggest, something that has already been suggested and denied before, something so obscenely niche that simply wouldn't justify the effort, something that goes against how we run our servers or something that Warmane just doesn't have interest in implementing.
And posts that don't fall into that category get buried and no useful replies.
No, those are usually the last case. They aren't breaking any rule or are blatantly something to be denied, so they are left alone in case someone in the Staff takes an interest.
