WotLK Character Missing

Hi,

I hope someone can help me regarding my character in Icecrown. I played last time was December 2022 and now I want to go play again and my character went missing. It was a lvl 80 Bloodelf shadow priest. I have read all the info about the server refreshment and will delete character below lvl 50, but I don't understand why my character went missing cause it was level 80. I check barrack from account and nothing. I check history and there's no history of someone transferring or deleting my character in case of a hacker. Can someone help me? I can give more detail about the character name. I hope that I can restore the character. Thank you

Then somebody had access to your account and deleted it. Maybe it was a friend, random stranger that guessed your password, a player that successfully phished you. Most likely happened before forced 2FA implementation back in September 2023, so coin service's 30 day restoration period is expired long time ago.

I cant say for sure whether that was the case or not. But is there anyway that we can do to check ? Because the way I see it is that the probability for that to happen is low and perhaps it is get mistakenly deleted and I can recover my character. Or even if somebody deleted it then it should be appreared in history right ? But there was no history of character deletion

Only recovery options you have is once a week free restoration which needs to be done within 48 hours of deletion, and one paid with coins with 30 day recovery window. I suspect both of these timers are expired long time ago. Beyond that Warmane doesn't offer character recoveries.

Character deletions by Warmane aren't happening outside of inactivity cleanups, and I have yet to see one person that had their character deleted that shouldn't have been deleted.

I have the same problem but several characters disappeared. There is no information about this in the account history

A quick summary:

1. Warmane doesn't delete characters outside of inactivity cleanup.
2. Level <50 characters that are deleted during inactivity cleanup aren't up for restoration.
3. Characters deleted manually, either by owner of the account or another user, can be restored up to within 30 days with coins.
4. Missing level 80 character usually means a) 3rd party had access to account. b) You logged wrong account/realm. c) You played on Frostmourne - those characters are gone. d) It's in the barracks (Icecrown).
5. Account history may help to see what happened - unexpected coin gifts, item trades, authentications from unknown IP's. It could even help to determine if the character was ever on that account (marketplace & services history), if applicable.
6. Asking help through website ticket - https://www.warmane.com/account/support or by emailing [email protected] may shed some light to what happened. Know that even if you get to know what happened to your character(s), restoration may not even be possible anymore.
