Hello everyone. I’d like to share a rather strange issue that has been happening for quite some time. I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to fix it. I’ve formatted my PC, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, deleted everything, played without addons—I’ve done everything I could, and nothing seems to work. I'll try to explain with as many details as possible.
The problem occurs in raids; it rarely happens in the open world. It’s a disconnection, but not a typical one. I’ve monitored my connection, and there’s no packet loss; the process remains connected to WoW, but only for upload, not download. When this happens, I appear to be "running in place," and I see everyone else running in place too, as if I’m not receiving any data. The server doesn’t disconnect me. I tested this once in ICC, during the Blood Queen fight. It happened, so I left the game as it was and stepped away from my PC. After about 40 minutes, I came back, and guess what? I was still seeing everyone "running in place," all buff timers at 0, exactly where I had left it when I got up. The game never disconnected me to the login screen.
The only way to exit is by force-closing the process. One interesting thing that seems to mitigate the issue slightly is that after each boss, I completely close the game and restart it. It appears to happen when I’ve killed "too many bosses" and keep going. I have 32GB of RAM, an i7 10th gen, RTX 3060, SSD, and a 600mb fiber connection. I really have no idea what could be causing this. I would really appreciate any opinions or if anyone else is experiencing this.
