WotLK Destruction Warlock in PVE

Hi all,

Kind of a returning player here and I'm considering rolling a fresh Warlock alt, and I wish to play the Destruction spec as I do on official server. I've read that it's the least viable spec for PvE in WotLK, but I would like to know if it's totally useless in endgame raiding even with BiS-ish gear (wish to progress in ICC and RS). Is it really worth rolling Destro Lock in WotLK for PvE?

I don't recall a situation where a destro would've been needed/requested by a raid leader.

Destro would be one of those bottom picks when raid is desperate for any DPS to fill ranks. Even then, they'd prefer Demo/Affli.

That bad? Guess I'll have to drop the idea of rolling Destro then. Though I'll be able to pull average DPS with all the buffs and all.

Toc 10/25, VOA, and ICC 10 nm you could probably get away with rolling destro, but any other locks spec will get you an insta invite into higher tier raids.
