Random Disconnects in the past week or so getting insanely annoying
Keep getting random disconnects from Warmane servers ( literally, nothing else ) ( Onyxia specifically )
1. ( No other Private WoW server does this ( only this one )
2. No other programs, services, devices, apps, games ( insert every stupid thing some donkey would attempt at joking about here ) they all work fine.
3. Complete redownload of files from scratch
4. Caches deleted
5. No Firewall/Anti-Virus screwing with it, so toss that suggestion as well..
Why, does it randomly disconnect, could be 2 mins, could be 15, could be 45...
Searches have noticed random ppl having this issue for years..
obviously its ignored and limited to select few ppl, so nobody really bothers to worry about the matter!
It would be hard to troubleshoot if you're having some specific issue. I can say getting disconnected periodically from any online game is pretty normal. That's just how the internet and servers work. I get disconnected more frequently on Blizzard servers more than I do here. Here, I tend to get disconnected more in major cities or during sequences where a lot is going on. And that's to be expected. But it isn't happening constantly. I go weeks without a disconnect sometimes.
tbh the reason for the issue you're describing could be anything. from faulty network setup at home to your ISP or internet 'backbones', which are the wide area networks in-between your ISP and the server you're connecting to. you probably noticed random people having such an issues because it's actually a pretty common thing on the internet as a whole.
best bet would be to run WinMTR or 'pathping' to logon.warmane.com if you're on Windows, although I don't know if the result would actually help pinpoint the source of the problem since it's probably a login server and not an actual game server address. but it's in the same direction I guess
then submit a ticket with the result to your ISP so they could check it for you and tell you where the problem lies, if the packet drops are happening on the along the route outside of their reach they could probably run the traffic the other route.
you could also just ping your router with 'ping <router address> -t' in the command line/windows terminal and see if it stops reaching your router the same time as the game disconnects, then it's likely the PC to router connection is problematic
even if i put wow.exe inside the split tunneling portion it still disconnects, which is odd as i swear i was playing fine while on the vpn without issue before recently..
ill have to mess around with the protocol options and see that fixes my DC issue.
if i turn off the VPN im fine, if i run the vpn and split the connection it still disconnects regardless..
its been solved for my isue at least.. just trying to pinpoint why now
iirc NordVPN also provides wireguard configs, you could download one and use an alternate client like TunnlTo for wireguard, which supports split-tunnelling too and works well
Its funny that it only does it on Warmane, The other Private WoW servers i play on ( will be moving to primarily now ) work flawlessly no matter if im on it or not.
Hello, I have the same issue here since 2-3 days , My games keep disconneting randomly after 5-6-20-25 or whatever minutes, it's really random ! can't even finish a dungeon without getting diconnected, I can't join raids because all of this !
Tried everything, but nothing works, when I get disconnected, my internet works fine everywhere, I just get disconnected from world of warcraft only (warmane)
I have seen many players facing this issue on this topic : https://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=474916
And no one seems to know how to solve it, warmane staff don't give a **** about it also !
Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.
