Warmane log in... Kills my internet connection?

Never seen a game do this, I have 5 other games including retail wow on my computer and they all log in fine but without fail if I try to log in to warmane I can usually get to character screen and then I can usually get into the game if I join quickly but 2-3 min later, like clockwork, I get disconnected and my pc says there is no internet. I click to scan for networks and it immediately finds and reconnect to the wifi. I checked the connectivity of the wifi and it does not actually go out when this happens. It's like warmane's server convinces my pc to disconnect and blame the wifi. The heck is going on? How can I fix this?

This used to happen to me!

Try finding out what your wireless card model is and updating the drivers.

I had the same problem years ago when I played on a different private server. It was my isp dissconecting me..something to do with the amount of information and how it sees the warmane server and the location. The Devs had to make a proxy realm list in order for the isp to allow it. I have Verizon btw..notorious for this problem. After they made the proxy realm list everything was fine no disconnects.

Updated my wireless driver now, didn't seem to fix the issue.

Could you elaborate on the proxy server fix?

I've also found a few people who have mentioned similar issues and said that it was their anti-virus doing this, anyone know how I would go about checking this?

It could be your router too but I suppose you can't just change that.

Try disabling your antivirus/firewall if you have any. But if you are using the default Windows Defender I don't think that's the issue.

Resolved! Seems to have been the issue found in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/s/a0SdvBRXn2

(will update if the issue returns)
