WotLK Darkscreecher Akkarai no summons

Hello guys,

I am currently playing a lvl 70 hunter on lordaeron and I wanted to play the akkari hatchling as a pet.
Those are the only carrion bird owls.

The internet says Darkscreecher Akkarai summons them with "flock call".

I've summoned him twice now and he does use the spell but no minion appear.

That really bumms me because I would love an owl with the carrion bird trade.

Any insight why this happens?
