WotLK Game freezes on character select screen

Today I'm having problems logging in. after entering my name and password I enter the character selection screen but the screen freezes. I don't encounter the same problem with other servers like whitemane so I assume it's a problem with warmane or just onyxia.

Game instantly freezes the moment I am finished logging in, no matter what server I select. No error message, no black screen - just frozen character screen, music still plays in background as if it’s working. Tried reinstalling. Tried deleting cache / logs / wtf / interface folders. Same client works with other servers but stopped working on Warmane. Glitch happened when we were killing mobs before Sindragosa on 10-man and I could never login since. Very upsetting as it was a great run which I wanted to finish but now cannot. Please help advise

Hi,

So today I have an issue logging into the game.

After putting in my password then the game stacks on the character selection screen, I don't get any error. I'm waiting for a long period, and nothing happens when I click on the screen. The game becomes not responding and I have to close it. i have removed all the addons deleted the catches and account folder in WTF still same thing.

I tried different private server that I played and all of them working fine only the warmane folder have issue.

If anyone have experienced this could you please help me out thank you.

I've got the same problem today: game crashes after putting in login and password with critical error popping. It allowed me to play for 20-30 mins or so and critical error occured again. I have no idea what's happening, it worked perfectly yesterday.

Exactly the same problem here since 5 hours ago. Game froze and I had to force quit, upon logon, the game freezes on "retrieving character list". Playing from MAC M1. Other private servers work fine, the character selection issue is specific to warmane server.
Please fix!

I think it may have something to do with ARM CPUs (I am playing on Surface Laptop 7 with Windows 11)

im trying to find out solution since morning, I'm on Mac M1 too. And I think Warmane did some server update or some changes in their server, which triggered this, as I know it has happened before.

Did you solve the problem? I also have MAC and the problem occurs after server restart during the day. I tried to log after 2-3 hours and that happened :(

EDIT: Problem solved by using CCLEANER and do the fast scan

Got the same problem, it comes after server restart during the day. Im using MAC and got critical error on character selection screen.

When I go in tò the account tò select the Hero, Is chrashing, and before the crash and i still go in game says errore 135 and close the game
What happen ? Did i was banned or what? Is the server ? I have to download again the client? Answer PLS

I play on M1 macbook using Parallels and have been fine for 2 weeks. I recently upgraded my parallels and now when I join my main server (Icecrown) my game freezes and crashes...

The other 3 servers work fine... does anyone have any idea what this could be please?
