hey having infinity lag and disconnecting from warmane server on ice crown , BlackRock and lordaeron after that ddos attack on the server I have tried every thing and didn't fix it except two solution gonna list them in the last .
1.changed windows didn't fixed it
2.changed router ip also didn't fixed it
3.used dns all of them also didn't fixed it
4.contact support twice didn't do anything
5.reinstalled the wow didn't fixed it
6.ran firewall and antivirus on all network line didn't fixed it
7.waited for several days didn't got fixed
8. also used cloud flare warp vpn i got ip banned and contact the support they removed it and said don't use free vpn
the only thing that fix the problem for me is using a vpn and its also a little lag and annoying
the second option fix for me was using a calculated mobile network connect to pc by wire (usb tethering)
share if you got a new fix that's all i got
6.ran firewall and antivirus on all network line didn't fixed it
close bittorren by right clicking it icon in the taskbar then "Exit".
then move the game away from the download folder that bittorrent put the game in (For exemple move it to c:/WorldOFWarcraft or desktop)
and try to run the game from the new location as Administrator, if that doesn't work
go to your devices firewall and antivirus settings and add the game to the exceptions list (This is a main fix that worked with alot of people i assisted)
and as a final solution i can provide, i want you to get rid of all addons in your game, for exemple move the addons folders to another folder and try again.
I don't understand your matter You seems to mix everything, 0 detail. Atleast show your cfg,.... What do you mean by DDOS attack? you or the server? In both case if you are able to know it (There is only one way to know. It's to check the network log file. For that you need to set up that mean knowledge. So you are able to fix it). Anyways if you are under a DDOS attack then you can put a delay/deny rules to responds at connection throught firewall cfg rules. An antivirus have nothing to do with networking. A dns (Domain name service) is just like a dictionnary of ip. It's just help to resolve when you try to connect/search because your write with word but net,... work with ip. To resolve it, it's what dns does. A vpn 'll add latence, it's almost mandatory. (excepting if you pay a lot).
Why reinstall wow if the matter is your network?
Then test your net throught ping, route cmd, ..... is you have network matters.
