Choosing class/spec for PvP

Hi! I'm new on Warmane, before this I played few years on another private server on 3.3.5a, mostly in PvE.
I want some changes, so I came back here.

Can you suggest me some good PvP range dps specs? It's important - they shouldn't be very difficult to learning, because I'm really bad at PvP and I won't play often. I'm interested in elemental, but judging by videos, he is weak in TBC. Warlocks and hunters seem to be difficult because of pets, Owls are more like PvE spec, now we have only frost mage and shadow priest and it seems to me that for a "newbie" only priest will be more or less suitable here. Am I right?

P.S. Actually my favourite is feral cat, but they are weak here I think

If you don't have much time and you only want to PvP then the Blackrock realm might be better where it's instant 70 and you get some ok starter gear. You can only PvP on that realm though. But also you can test multiple classes out for fun.

What you choose is based on what you want to do. If you want to play 2 v 2 arena then warlock and mage are good picks. If you like battlegrounds more then your options open up. If you stack more PvE gear on a ranged dps in battlegrounds and stay with groups then you can really crank on most things as long as you have the gear.
