For several years now, the server has been in a state of stagnation — no new transmogs, no events, no tournaments. The world PvP zone is currently meaningless and offers no rewards whatsoever.
The old system of arena/BG loot crates was removed, even though there were good ideas shared on the forums — like 1v1 arenas, for example. Removing PvP titles each season also feels pointless, as it has no real impact on the player count or the server’s monetization.
We’ve been waiting for years — hoping for new activities, changes, or at least something fresh.
Is there any hope left for that?
All development focus is on TBC right now.
Wait until Onyxia does its transition to Wotlk. Then we can experience PvP in s5 until s8 gear on Blackrock. That should bring some fresh wind to the realm.
We already had a progressive wotlk realm so this time I believe that it will require less development ressources.
So hopefully devs will find the time to implement smth that we haven't seen before on Wotlk.
Personally I'm hoping for a cross-realm pvp zone which pvpers of all wotlk realms can enter.
