Lordaeron experience is getting wasted by its PvP settings
Little rant here.
First there were the 80 Lv players that were chain killing low levels in low level zones.
Now that I finally managed to get into Hellfire Peninsula there are players everywhere just flying around, waiting for you to get into a fight to kill you ?
Like seriously ? Why can't I just deactivate PvP like in regular server so I don't have to suffer being abused by douchebags ?
I'm a bit salted but well getting chain killed all day everytime you connected to the game can do that.
I understand you, everyone has had to deal with these types of players who do it for pastime or boredom.
I think they do it more because they themselves have suffered the same thing.
You can only be patient, or perhaps feel sorry for them, after all they are to be pitied.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to disable pvp on contested maps (named in yellow).
If you're in a guild, you could ask someone to help you out for a few minutes, at least until that player stops.
But consider that it can happen that that player gets even more pissed off (yes, some are very toxic unfortunately) and he also calls others and chaos is unleashed.
Unfortunately, there aren't any other level 58-70 maps I can recommend. If this happened to you on a weekend (say, Sunday), they would have been there all day, and it would have been frustrating. Try during the week, since there are fewer players, and you might be able to complete the mission. I can't think of any other recommendations.
So, I haven't had that bad of a time with ganking. That's probably due to the time of day that I play. That said, I'm in the process of leveling a druid and boosted it to level 72. I can not tell you how awesome this was. I absolutely hate leveling from the mid 50's to 60 and from the mid 60's to 70.
I will never quest those levels again. I didn't keep a timer on it. But, it felt like it took about 10 minutes to level from 55-60 by being boosted in Ramparts. We stayed there through level 62 and then went to mana tombs. At 65 we went to UK and stayed in there until 70.
It was absolutely nuts. Around level 70 it really slowed down, but at that point, I was out of the majority of the ganking zones.
