I have a question, cause my coworker can't answer since he hasn't played in a while... is there perhaps an addon to add like post-cataclysm totem designs in? I really like the voodoo mask totems trolls had at that point. If there isn't it's ok, I just thought I'd ask about it.

Those totems were added in 3.3, so they already exist. Unless you're talking about Onyxia.

oh? i could've sworn when i played the official Wrath server Blizzard did a couple years ago, that the totem was still the generic default totem, and not the voodoo mask totem. maybe i'm mis-remembering things or something.
But if it's on Icecrown here, than that works fine. I don't have a troll shaman on Onyxia, I made my troll shaman on Icecrown

Yes, there are ways to change the totem models, for example if you play on the wow hd client designed by Loriendal, the totems in general have a different look, more like the ones you described. You can search on youtube something like " warmane how to install wotlk hd client" in case you need help with how to download it, update it etc. With the hd client, you get updated character models, better graphics, textures etc, so it's not only the totems appearence that is changed, but almost the entire game itself.

I just leveled my shaman a bit to get the totem on Icecrown. It is the voodoo one. I guess I did misremember stuff from the official servers done by WoW during Wrath Classic. I thought the totem update was Cataclysm
