Realms "Proposal: Toggle to display druid’s base form instead of shapeshift”

Hey guys, I'd like to propose the following:

I think all players (not just druids) would love and be excited to see these valuable companions with their normal characters without transformations in raids, DGs, etc. Especially ranged DPS and healers, since at least the cats change their appearance depending on the character. So I think it would be incredible to see our nature companions giving their 100% without losing the opportunity to see their character, their gear, and their TMOGs.

What's the chance of adding this option? Could druids be transformed without actually being transformed, so we can see their character?

It would be incredible. If you think it's a good option, please support the idea. Maybe the developers will take pity on the poor druids. Thanks, regards.

I don't think this change would make much sense in practice. During combat, nobody is really looking at anyone's character model or transmog . Everyone's eyes are glued to Skada meter. Outside of combat, you're already free to drop form and show off your character and transmog however you like.

At the end of the day, transmog is something you enjoy for yourself . Other people usually aren't paying attention to it (I learned that one the hard way too). The druid forms are part of the class fantasy and design, and removing them just so you can see gear during a fight would take away from that identity.

Well, these are different opinions. I think it takes away from the identity that all the bommies and healer druids are the same, that each one can look, see and show their character, that would be more of a unique personality for this class... since only the cats change something between them...

Knowing what form a druid takes is an important part of gameplay. Especially in PvP it would be confusing not knowing what I'm up against. That alone would probably stop this suggestion.

In my experience transmogs are appreciated outside of the actual fights. Before a raid/BG starts or walking around Dalaran etc. My opinion though is I think the main identity of druids are the forms they take. Running around as a cat or a bear is just fun and only druids can do it.
